International Credit Union (ICU) Day
A steady signal in a noisy world
On International Credit Union Day, we want to highlight the credit union movement as a beacon of light and stability in an unpredictable world. It’s ICU Day’s 78th anniversary and this year Just CU celebrates 25 years of being a constant for safe money management for the communities it serves.
Since the merger last year, we now have almost 10,000 members who belong to the 1.5 million credit union members in the UK. This enables us to create new meaningful relationships with communities and organisations across the regions of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Herefordshire, Wyre Forest, Malvern Hills, Worcester, Stafford, Newcastle Under Lyme, South Staffordshire, or Stoke-on-Trent.
One question we still get asked is: “What is a credit union?” It’s a fair question and so we decided there was a need for a Practitioner’s Toolkit which enabled people supporting Just CU, to be armed with the tools to ensure individuals understand the support they can access through Just CU.
Our goal is to enable as many people as we can in our communities to access safe money options including flexible savings and loans based on affordability. That’s why, in addition to all online services, we have a friendly member services team ready to take your call, a branch on Madeley High Street plus Money Hubs in Brookside Telford and across the Stoke area. Explore the best way for you to get the services you need:
