Meet Our Team

I joined Just Credit Union's Board in 2022 bringing with me a background in marketing and business management. I have previously been a Board Member and Chair of Groundwork West Midlands and Chair of the Severn Trent Community Fund. I was delighted to be elected as Chair of Just Credit Union, financial inclusion is very important to me and I am proud to be working with the dedicated team to provide the community with access to fair and equitable financial products. I live in Madeley and I am secretary at The Anstice, a busy community centre in the town. When I am not answering phones at the Anstice I enjoy travelling, attending all sorts of music events and spending time in my garden.

Hi I'm Karen, I am the second longest serving member of staff after Amy, who joined just 6 weeks before me. After working in social housing for many years, I joined JCU in October 2004 originally as Operations Manager. At the time, there were only three members of staff, so things have changed a lot since then. My role is to monitor and to report to the Board on matters of finance, risk and compliance and to drive the strategic direction of the credit union ensuring that we always put our members interests at the heart of everything we do. I am very proud of the committed team that we have; that enables JCU to play such an important role in helping our members manage their finances, both for their benefit and for the benefit of the communities in which they live. In my spare time, I enjoy planning trips and travelling, where I often go searching for local credit unions and I hope to be able to get back to doing that soon.

Hi, I am Steve, following many years in banking and consultancy I joined Just Credit Union in 2017 as the Business Development & Marketing Officer. This gives me the opportunity to work with lots of great community-based organisations. Working in partnership is very important to Just and we are definitely stronger together. The credit union is about people helping people, building better communities and it is fantastic to be a part of that. When not working I am most likely to be found in a muddy field listening to live music if you spot me come and say hello!

It was when I needed some help, I found out about JCU . I was amazed at how well I was treated. I had worked in finance most of my life so when a job opportunity came up, I jumped at it. Making sure every loan application is treated in the best possible way is Important to me. I am proud to say I think I have made a real difference to members lives. Being from the area I love all things Tranmere Rovers and I am a bit of a coffee and cake lover too!

Hi,I'm Adele, I started in 2010 doing Administration I now also do Credit Control and Loans. I find working at Just Credit both rewarding and challenging, especially in the last year where we were able to help members finding themselves in difficult circumstances.

Hi, I'm Ann, I joined JCU after a long career in Banking. I do outreach interviews, getting to know our members' and meeting people in the community. I loved the face-to-face contact but as the coronavirus hit my role changed and I work with members who may be struggling due to the pandemic. I can wait or travel restrictions to lift so that I can jet off somewhere!"

Hi, I'm Julie I joined JCU 7 years ago as an Admin Officer having spent 31years working in the personal loan sector. I was impressed straight away with the ethos of the credit union and the way we work within the local community. There are so many positives to the way we work here and the services we offer that I only wish I had joined sooner!

I joined JCU as part of the membership team. I am responsible for all things relating to members, from setting up accounts to emails and communication apps. I am usually the members first point of contact and hopefully a friendly voice on the end of the phone. When I'm not working, I love travelling in my campervan and anything arty!

I joined JCU in March 2022 as part of the membership team. You will catch me on the phone, emails, bank processing and all things direct payments! In my spare time - I am all things horses.

Hi, I'm Caroline I joined Just Credit Union in July 24 to support accounts and finances. I have many years' experience in a number of finance and accounting roles.

I joined Just Credit Union in early 2023 after working in the Home Loan Collection Market for 35 years. I worked in various roles but predominantly in Projects and as an Operational Area Manger. Putting customer at the heart of every decision or change and ensuring all outcomes were to their benefit was always important to me. Just Credit Union has the same ethos of serving our local community and putting our members first and this is why I enjoy working here. My role is to support those members who have had a change in circumstances or fallen on difficult times, helping find a solution for their repayments.
