Do you want to develop your strategic management and planning skills? Just Credit Union is enhancing its Board by recruiting a “Ëœtrainee’ member.

The role would suit an individual with an interest in financial inclusion who wants to gain Board level experience and develop their strategic management and planning skills. Just Credit Union is owned by its members and managed for their mutual benefit. The activities of the co-operative are overseen by a volunteer Board.

Just Credit Union promote financial inclusion and provide secure savings and ethical loans whilst improving the financial wellbeing of our members. What members save with us is what we lend so we also support our local economy. The role will be fully supported and offers opportunities for training and development. The key requirements are a passion about what we do and sharing our ethos and values. No previous Board experience is necessary.

The Board meets on the third Wednesday each month at 5pm, and meetings usually last between 1 and 1.5 hours. Most meetings are currently held remotely with one face to face meeting each quarterly usually in Shrewsbury or Telford. We also hold an annual Board “Ëœstrategic away day’. There are other opportunities to addend credit union industry related conferences and events.
