Just Credit Union  believes in the  power of people helping  people and is very much rooted in the voluntary and not for profit sectors.  We promote financial inclusion and provide secure savings and ethical loans whilst improving the financial wellbeing of our members. What members save with us is what we lend so we also support our local economy.
We are looking for volunteers to join our Board and no Board experience is required.
We are particularly interested in those with active careers, looking for a new challenge with the following experience or skills
– People with digital technology experience to support our strategic thinking around better use of technology to reach and support our members
– Individuals with financial management and accounting experience that can help us balance our commercial viability with our social purpose
– Human resource & legal experience particularly around contracts, and compliance
– Those familiar with the changing landscape of financial inclusion
The key requirements are a passion about what we do and sharing our ethos and values. No previous Board experience is necessary. We are interested in hearing from people with a range of skills, not just those highlighted above. We are very happy to arrange an initial informal chat with anyone who is interested.
