Shropshire Council and Just Credit Union are making affordable loans available to Council area residents to help improve their homes.

Just Credit Union are working in conjunction with Sustainable Warm Homes Shropshire to make affordable loans available to Shropshire Council area residents to help improve energy efficiency of their home or to bring a house needing work back into use.
Loans are available from £300 to £15,000. Whether you are topping up your loft insulation or installing a new more energy efficient boiler a “ËœWarm Home’ loan could help.
Sustainable Warmth Shropshire Grants
Sustainable Warmth Shropshire is a grant scheme which aims to tackle fuel poverty through sustainable measures to provide affordable warmth, whilst increasing the energy performance of homes and reducing carbon emissions. Grants are available to ‘off gas’ homes which meet the eligibility criteria for the insulation improvements (e.g. loft and wall insulation), first-time double glazing and doors, Solar PV and battery storage technology and clean heat measures (including air source heat pumps).
Warm Home Loan Eligibility
The loans are available to people who live in the Telford & Wrekin Council area who are undertaking eligible work on their property. To apply for a loan you will need to be aged 18-65, be eligible to join Just Credit Union, and have a minimum income of £125 per week. Terms and conditions apply.

The loans are available to fund work on a property that improves its energy efficiency or is required to bring the property into a liveable condition, examples may include but are not limited to;
